Season’s Greetings with safety first, ICMP bids deadline approaching, IUPESM Fellows, WC2028, IOMP Webinars

Dear Colleagues,

The holiday season is around. I wish you happy holidays. Season’s Greetings from the IOMP ExCom team. We wish you safe passage through the balance part of the pandemic. We assume that now there is a shorter period left with the hope of vaccines on the horizon. We have already covered a long path of over 9 months and have found ways to continue with life professionally and personally. Our most sincere feelings are with the families of those who succumbed.

IOMP has invited bids for hosting the “25th International Conference on Medical Physics (ICMP)” in 2023. The deadline is December 13, 2020. Please note that this will be 60th-year celebration of IOMP. Please submit your bids by the deadline as per notice available on the IOMP website.

Once again we remind members that the cycle for holding World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering (WCs) of the International Union of Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine (IUPESM) is moved forward by one year in view of the loss of 2020 due to COVID-19. Accordingly, the bids have been invited for WC2028 which were initially for WC2027. Bidders may please see the updated notice.

IUPESM has announced its first batch of Fellows. The ceremony was held virtually on 20th Nov 2020.

As you are aware IOMP School has been organizing webinars twice a month. They have been a great hit with attendance of the median number of around 500 participants from over 75 countries. We wish to continue in 2021 but with additional elements that we are currently debating. Stay tuned for updates on the IOMP website on the dedicated page for the IOMP webinars.
