SEACOMP 2021
The 19th South-East Asian Congress of Medical Physics (SEACOMP 2021) was successfully held on 21 – 23 October 2021 as a hybrid conference at Phuket, Thailand. The conference was held in conjunction with the 13th Annual Meeting of Thai Medical Physicist Society (TMPS) and the 14th Workshop of the ASEAN College of Medical Physics (ACOMP). The theme of the conference was “Medical Physics – Facing the Future Together”. The conference attracted 231 delegates from 16 countries, of which 48 participants attended in person and 183 were online. The largest delegations were from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, USA, Japan, Austria, Australia, Lao PDR, Italy, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Taiwan and Yemen. There were 43 Oral Presentations, 19 Invited Lectures and 10 Mini Symposiums. Most of these are in the fields of medical imaging, radiation therapy, artificial intelligence, education and clinical training of medical physics. The invited lectures included John Cameron Memorial lecture by Professor Peter Homolka on the topic of “3D Printing in Medical Imaging: Opportunities and Potential Pitfalls for the Medial Physicists” and a special guest lecture on the “IAEA Guidelines for the Certification of Clinically Qualified Medical Physicists” by Giorgia Loreti from the IAEA. The very first SEAFOMP Anchali Krisanachinda Quiz was launched during the 19th SEACOMP. There were 10 contesters from 6 countries. The Quiz consisted of 30 questions: 20 questions on general/medical physics topics, and 10 questions on SEAFOMP-related topics. Jocobs Mata (the Philippines) won the first prize (USD100), Mananchaya Vimolnoch (Thailand) won the second prize (USD50) and Sararas Intarak (Thailand) won the third prize (USD50). Four SEAFOMP Young Leaders Award 2021 (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, The Philippines) and several Best Oral and Poster Presentation awards were also given during the congress.
SEACOMP 2022
The 20th SEACOMP will be held in conjunction with the IUPESM World Congress of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering on 12 to 17 June 2022 in Singapore (www.wc2022.org). Seven Travel Awards of USD150 each were offered to successful applicants from within the SEAFOMP countries.

ASEAN DRL Project
At the 19th SEACOMP 2021 on 21-23 October 2021, Phuket, Thailand, Prof. Anchali Krisanachinda proposed the ASEAN DRL projects. Ten countries of ASEAN are involved in this project. Three consultants kindly help and support this project, namely Prof. Donald Mc Lean, Prof. Kosuke Matsubara, and Prof. Noriah Jamal.
